The Clinical Teacher Program brings together faculty members across the Corewell Health system to collaborate and practice medical education teaching strategies through a two hour online pre-work module, followed by a one hour in person OSTE session. Any member of the broader Corewell community engaged in clinical teaching is invited to be a participant in this professional development opportunity. The end goal is to create a culture of academic excellence by cultivating professional and personal development in clinical faculty by developing and enhancing clinical educators teaching, assessment and feedback skills and improving the learning environment at Corewell Health.

1. Improve the ability to effectively teach in busy ambulatory settings.
2. Expand participants knowledge to assess resident or medical student performance by direct observation.
3. Improve the ability to give constructive and effective feedback to learners.
4. Increase the capability to teach clinical procedures.
5. Practice evaluating residents using competency based assessments.

Corewell Health West Michigan designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 3.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
