Overview
The Breast Surgery Fellowship monthly Interesting Cases and Morbidities conference is a structured, case-based educational activity that provides a forum for residents, faculty, and the breast surgical oncology fellow review complex breast surgical cases, postoperative outcomes, complications, and diagnostic challenges. The activity promotes reflective practice, quality improvement, and application of current evidence to improve surgical outcomes and patient safety.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. 1) Analyze breast surgery complications and challenging cases to identify contributing factors and opportunities for improvement.
  2. 2) Apply evidence-based strategies to optimize operative decision-making and postoperative management in breast surgery.
  3. 3) Integrate multidisciplinary perspectives to improve patient safety, quality of care, and clinical outcomes.

Accreditation

Corewell Health West Michigan is accredited by the Michigan State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Corewell Health West Michigan designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.
