SHAPE sponsors an in-person Keynote Speaker for Research Day 2026. Dr. Miriam Vos will be the Keynote Speaker. The presentation will be about "Metabolic Trouble in a Sweet Package: Nutritional Etiology and Cardiometabolic Fallout of MASLD in Children." Objectives: Understand youth-onset MASLD, prevalence and global impact Describe genetic, clinical and phenotypic drivers of MASLD Explore existing evidence for sugar as a driver of MASLD and associated cardiometabolic features Review current and future treatments for MASLD in youth This Keynote presentation will create a culture of academic excellence by cultivating professional development in medical education for a research perspective.
